Art Your Heart Out at Art Exchange Manila by The Craft Central

Manila, Philippines–It has only been 7 months since The Craft Central opened in Greenbelt and yet the sister-duo behind it, Alexis and Monique Ventura, are already currently staging an art festival for all of us.

Originally an online store for art workshop participants, the Craft Central is now a physical art hub that houses a wide-range of art products for everyone. From quality art supplies to imported craft tools, this store can awaken the frustrated Van Gogh or Martha Stewart (whichever you prefer) inside of you.

Given the success of the local art movement and the rapidly growing creative community, it only makes sense that The Craft Central organizes a week-long event for all art enthusiasts. Art Exchange Manila gathered artists, crafters, and media partners to participate at this mini art festival.

What to expect when you drop by The Gallery at Greenbelt for Art Exchange Manila:

Capsule Workshops and Demonstrations

Attendees can hone their skills in pointed pen calligraphy or basic brush lettering, and they can also opt for learning how to create loose watercolor florals. There’s even a class on watercolor techniques. As of writing, however, all of the slots in these workshops have been filled.

“The World is Our Canvas” Earth Day Exhibit

To celebrate Earth Day, the Craft Central gathered artists to create their own rendition of the world map. This segment is sponsored by FilipinoArt.ph, an upcoming website that aims to help artists sell their pieces to homeowners.

Curated Bazaar

Expect a wide array of products from their store’s very own talented partners to as well as sought-after art supply brands. Sponsors for the event include Tombow, Sakura, IFEX Fine Papers, Winsor & Newton, Canson and Faber Castell.

Creative Talks and Demos

Passionate makers and friends of the Craft Central will be giving creative talks and free demos this Sunday. These talks will focus on success stories of creative entrepreneurs who are able to turn their passion into business. Among the guests are Alexis Ventura of Ink Scribbler, Ambo Bongalonta of Diyalogo, and Aldrin Tirones of Jurassic Pot PH.

Everyone is invited to come visit and be inspired by Art Exchange at The Gallery of Greenbelt 5. The event will run from April 19 to 25, 2017. Check out @thecraftcentral on Instagram and artexchange.thecraftcentral.com for more updates.–YoungStar
